Introduction
S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine Powder 29908-03-0, also know as SAMe, is a physiologically active molecule that exists in human tissues. It is synthesized by SAMe synthase catalyzing methionine and ATP. It acts as a methyl donor and a precursor of physiological sulfhydryl compounds to participate in chemical reactions in the body.
Main Function
1.Improve depression
-In the cerebrospinal fluid of depressed patients, the lower the concentration of 5-HIAA (a metabolite of 5-hydroxytryptophan), the more severe the depression. Supplementation of exogenous SAMe may promote the synthesis of 5-HIAA.
2.Antioxidant, reduce liver cell damage
-Significantly reduce the level of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in ethanol-treated liver cells.
-Promote the production of endogenous glutathione, improve detoxification and antioxidant function.
3.Detoxification, resist the damage of harmful substances to liver cells

4.Promote liver cell regeneration
-Significantly increase the mitotic activity of liver cells in the early stage
5.Anti-liver fibrosis, delay the progression of liver disease
-It can inhibit the activation of hepatic stellate cells.
-It can inhibit the expression of TNF and promote the expression of IL-10, thereby inhibiting inflammation and combating liver fibrosis.
6.Increase insulin sensitivity and improve lipid metabolism
